Daily Teaching Rounds
Daily Teaching Rounds
One of the cornerstones of the OffSiteCare telemedicine program is the Daily Teaching Rounds program, created and facilitated by Dr. James K. Gude. Providing a unique opportunity to learn from and interact with leading medical personnel, Daily Teaching Rounds are based on real-time encounters with patients within the OffSiteCare network. Remote personnel at our member hospitals, as well as OffSiteCare physicians with laptops, are welcome to attend via multipresence.
Conducted each week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, as bookends to the CME-accredited Grand Rounds presentation on Wednesday, the Daily Teaching Rounds include specialist consultations, interaction with patients and their on-site physicians, and a group discussion to explore the possible range of treatment options. Each session ends with a poem, reflecting Dr. Gude’s deep interest in English literature.
OffSiteCare believes that all people have the right to the best medical care, regardless of where they live. To achieve the democratization of health care, our focus is to use the power of telemedicine to provide consultations with expert intensivists, neurologists, and other specialists to patients in underserved communities worldwide.
