 Dr. James Gude, OffSiteCare Medical Director; Board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Internal Medicine recieved his Medical Degree from Yale University in 1965. He has practiced Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine in California for 35 years. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at The University of California San Francisco. He has been the director of the Santa Rosa Medical Center of Santa Rosa Critical Care Department, (formerly Community Hospital) for many of those years, and an esteemed faculty member of their Residency Program. He is Medical Director of the Palm Drive and Healdsburg District Hospital ICU's.

Dr. Gude has a special interest in literature, the history of medicine, and the physical exam. He has published several articles in that vein. His interests have broadened through the vision of his late friend and partner, Dr. Lewis Solomon, to the objective of providing high tech and cutting edge critical Care medicine to remote and rural communities. OffSiteCare is that vision becoming reality. Dr.Gude will be awarded the annual Outstanding Doctor Award from the Sonoma County Medical Association this November, for his hard work on this endeavor.
