Ordinarily a nurse would have to provide a detailed description over the telephone
of a patients condition and concerns. The robotic technology allows the consulting
physician to see for himself, by being in the patient room, looking at the patient,
monitor and also access electronic medical information.
What if the patient needs a procedure?
Once the physician has evaluated the patient and determined that they require a
procedure, then a physician within the hospital will be contacted to perform that
procedure or alternatively the patient will be transferred out of the hospital to
another facility.
